Carmel, IN – Raymond J. Ohlson, CLU, CRC, President and CEO of The Ohlson Group, announces that SMP International, LLC, has acquired www.safemoneyplaces.com. The Ohlson Group, a national insurance marketing and consulting firm, has majority ownership and management control of SMP International LLC. Jack Marrion, founder of Safe Money Places, remains as a consultant with the company. “Jack Marrion and I have been friends for many years,” Ohlson explains. “He developed an extremely educational, vibrant, and robust website for the consumer looking for ‘safe money’ information. We intend to continue in that same vein with Jack’s participation and consultation. We are extremely excited about this venture!” Marrion explains that he and Ohlson “share a common desire to inform consumers.”
When compared with other financial sites available to consumers, the “new” safemoneyplaces.com differs greatly. According to Ohlson, “This site is dedicated to safe money concepts and products only. We will not be providing any investment, tax or legal advice.”
Ohlson also believes they are creating an additional financial services distribution model. “We are creating a network of ‘Safe Money’ agents through The Ohlson Group. Many are comparing this to a ReMax™ or Century 21™ in the safe money insurance based business.”
