MWA: Banking Holding Company Annuity Commissions Fall

U.S. bank holding company commissions from annuity sales fell to $621 million in the third quarter of 2010, down 7.3% from the total for the third quarter of 2009, according to Michael White Associates.
MWA, Radnor, Pa., bases the BHC annuity commissions on data reported by 915 top-tier BHCs. MWA also analyzes data from 7,020 commercial and Federal Deposit Insurance Corp.-supervised banks.
