Lafayette — After 105 years, the Lafayette Life Insurance Co. is moving out of Indiana by July. About one-third of the 150 employees have accepted transfers to the new offices in the Cincinnati headquarters of parent Western & Southern Financial Group.
The Lafayette Life company name will be retained. Marketing and distribution are unchanged. Policyholders should see no change, according to a spokeswoman, who said the move will help the company grow in the future.
Lafayette Life, which has about 90,000 policies in force, sells life insurance and annuities in 48 states. The company was sold to Western & Southern in 2005.
