The Society for Annuity Facts and Education (SAFE) announced today that it has appointed Harry N. Stout, Managing Director of NelsonWells, LLC, and Kevin Hart, EVP of Distribution & Marketing at Oceanview Holdings to its Board of Directors for 2019.
“We are pleased to welcome Harry and Kevin as new directors to the SAFE board and especially value their industry background and executive expertise,” said Sheryl Moore, the outgoing Chairwoman of SAFE.
“They join SAFE at an exciting time as we relaunch SAFE to educate American consumers about the value of annuities, their safety and their ability to provide lifetime income.
Harry Stout has served as President of Voya’s U.S. Retail Annuity Business Group, where he directed the fixed, indexed, and variable annuity businesses. He also spent over a decade with Fidelity & Guaranty Life Insurance Company where he served as Chief Executive Officer and President.
Kevin Hart has previously served as Head of Distribution for Security Benefit Life, as President of Sun Life Financial Distributors and as President/CEO of Financial Network at SunAmerica.
SAFE is the only national Non-profit (501c3) consumer resource for Education and Research on annuities to help American consumers safeguard their retirement, savings and assets and provide a lifetime income.
SAFE is governed by a Board of Directors comprised of leaders and authorities from consumer service and financial services organizations. The board is united in its primary objective to better educate the public and other centers of influence of the value and attributes that annuity products add to American’s financial and retirement plans.
